COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions govern the ‘We Are 1!’ competition administered by The Cerve. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions as laid out below.

1. Introduction

a) This Competition is organised and run by The Cerve.

b) By entering this Competition you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) and any decisions reached by The Cerve, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Competition.

c) The Competition starts at the time the ‘We Are 1!’ competition post is posted on social media by The Cerve and ends at 23:59 on 6th November 2020 (the “Competition Period”).

2. Who can enter this Competition?

Anybody may enter this Competition, however, the prize will only be sent to an address within the United Kingdom.

3. How does the Competition work?

a) To enter the Competition, during the Competition Period, participants must:

 i. Follow The Cerve on Instagram, and

ii. Tag 3 friends in the Comments section of the competition post

b) All entries must be received by The Cerve during the Competition Period or they will be void. The Cerve will not accept responsibility for:

 i. Competition Entries that are not effective, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or

 ii. any change in dates, times or cancellations or other arrangements that may prevent a winner from accepting, taking or using a prize.

c) After the expiration of the Competition Period, one (1) winner will be selected at random in accordance with the laws of chance from all valid entries received.

d) The winner will be contacted by social media message no later than 23:59 on 7th November 2020 and asked to provide their postal address so the prize can be shipped.  The cost of shipping will be borne by The Cerve.  The Cerve will only ship the prize to an address within the United Kingdom in accordance with clause (2).

e) If the winner does not respond to The Cerve’s message and confirmation of their postal address by, they will be deemed to have forfeited the right to the Prize and an alternative winner will be chosen. The winner will be required to liaise with The Cerve to arrange for the receipt of the Prize.

f) The winner will receive the Prize by post within thirty (30) days of providing The Cerve with the details necessary for The Cerve to post the Prize.

g) If a winner is found to be ineligible or fails to comply with the Terms, then the winner may, in The Cerve’s sole discretion, be disqualified and an alternative winner will be selected.

h) The decision of The Cerve regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

4. What is the prize?

a) There will be one (1) winner.

b) The winner will be entitled to receive one (1) prize box containing one (1) of each of the following items:

            (i) Signed edition of Florence Given’s book, Women Don’t Owe You Pretty

            (ii) McLaggan Smith Women Who Changed the World mug

            (iii) Redbubble ‘Feminist’ face mask

            (iv) A bookmark containing a quote from Ruth Bader Ginsberg

c) Any taxes or other expenses that the prize winner incurs as a result of claiming the Prize or that are incidental to the fulfilment of the Prize are the responsibility of the prize winner.

d) Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

5. General

a) The winner may be asked to participate in reasonable post-event publicity, including the publication of a photograph detailing them as the winner and/or their name and geographic location. No personal data will be published without the consent of the prize winner.

b) The Cerve reserves the right to amend the rules of the Competition, to withdraw the Competition at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable, or to cancel prizes in the event of non-compliance with these Terms.

d) Any cancellation or changes will be posted on the relevant competition page at www.thecerve.co.uk/we-are-1

e) With the exception of liability which cannot be excluded by law, The Cerve is not liable for, and you release The Cerve from, liabilities relating to any direct or indirect loss or damage which is suffered, as a result of entering the Prize Draw, failing to win, winning, accepting or using a Prize.

f) This Competition is run by The Cerve. Any complaint about the Competition should be directed to The Cerve.

h) These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
